Hey, I got an unexpected couple of days at home this week! So I should use that time wisely, catching up and even getting ahead on jewelry and other goods, right? Yeah, except the extra days at home came about because I was sick. So I spent time just vegging out and sleeping. When the body is down, it takes the brain right along with it. Sigh. But I’m better now, and I’ve still got a whole weekend to work.
I’m in my first juried show! I’ll be at the Festival of the Arts in Corpus Christi the last weekend of March. This will give me three weekends (or at least Saturdays) in a row in March/April. That might be insane. But if I’m lucky, I’ll be facing the same situation again in May. My schedule is on my website.
I’m not knitting anything right now. That’s very, very unusual. I’m just so ambitious at present with McCord Works projects that I cannot justify a personal project. I’m crocheting like mad, and I have other weaving and dyeing ideas either in my brain or scribbled on pieces of paper. But I miss knitting! Argh! I need to rectify this situation as soon as I can.
All white cotton thread jewelry is still 25% in my shop on 1000 Markets.
At the First Saturday Arts Market in the Heights, all white cotton thread jewelry will be 25% off! Also a few select Valentiney things. Don’t miss it!

Today I finished ’shopping, I submitted for a juried show, and I updated the holy heck out of every site I could get my hands on. Now all I have to do is sync up the flash drive and update the everlasting To Do list…
I just spent a tiny fortune on some very fine fibers. This will be for an entry for the annual exhibit by the Texas Museum of Fiber Arts. I went to the opening gala last spring and had a marvelous time!
Let’s hope it gets me some juried shows!

Well, this is working well! Hand-dyed silk thread, hand-dyed silk charmeuse scarf.
