Excited! My first event this Saturday. I’ll be at 548 W. 19th, in the Wind Water Gallery parking lot. First Saturdays in the Heights is a big event. It’s much more than the Arts Market. Come see me, and then hang around for the sights and entertainment!
I can’t believe how much time it takes to attach price tags and stickers. Despite my manic listmaking, I’m sure I’m going to miss something. Like a calculator, or some water to drink, or something goofy like that.
Huzzah! I’m going to be in my first First Saturday Arts Market! This is a wonderful outdoor market on 19th Street in the Heights that happens the first Saturday of every month. So on May 2, you know where to go.
May 2. Hmm, that means I have exactly two weeks to finish getting all my booth supplies. This should be quite the adventure…
It’s my first public show! And then Houston Highland Games a mere two weeks later. This is so exciting!
It’s pretty and it’s really big. A foot wide, and about 5.5 feet long!

I just put some jewelry in at The Artful Corner, in the Heights. The shop is at 3423 White Oak Dr., Houston TX 77007. I’m so happy to be in this shop! Margarete Sanchez-Ripps has a mouth-watering collection of fine crafts by American artists, some of which are very local indeed.
Also, I will have a booth at the Houston Highland Games on May 16-17. I love attending this event every year, out by Bear Creek Park. You walk towards the building, and you’re surrounded by the B-flat hum of dozens of bagpipes. Very happy-making! In addition to all the nanocrochet goodness, I will have some tartan scarves and maybe a few other surprises.
New Flickr photos! New jewelry in the Etsy shop!
The Texas Bluebonnet tartan scarf/sash is off the loom, and ready for finishing. I have to knot the ends and I like to single crochet along the edges to finish them off nicely. This scarf is huge! Much longer and wider than the usual ones.
