Well, I have just entered my first juried show. No, I won’t mention the name, just in case. But entering was more complicated and costly than I thought it would be, and I think it’s a situation I’ll be facing often. Half my stuff is jewelry and half is framed doilies – home decor. Shows don’t let you sell jewelry unless you enter in that category. But the category I want to be judged in is fiber arts or textiles. So I had to create two different profiles and enter the show twice. And pay two fees. Ouch.

Enough with the adverbs in the Etsy shop. I’ve actually been holding off on putting new styles in, because I couldn’t come up with any more good ways to modify “tiny.” And I couldn’t ever remember which adverbs went with which styles. So, to heck with that.

What is a booth shot? Well, it’s a photo of how my booth looks at a street fair. Lots of fairs require a booth shot with the application.

It’s a little difficult to have a booth shot when you’ve never had a booth. However, I have been busy acquiring a canopy and other accoutrements, and I have a back yard. Voila, booth shot. Big time, here I come.

I reshot all the white crochet jewelry, and finally got some decent shots. I replaced all the images in the Etsy shop and Flickr, which my /mccordworks page pulls from. I’d put in a specific image here, but there’s not much point.

I still need to shoot the newest tiny ones modeled. I’ve been doing that myself using my ears and mirrors. It’s kinda goofy. When I do that, and come up with some new adverbs, sigh, I will put the newest tiny ones on Etsy.

I’m chugging along. I got a DBA for “McCord Works.” I’ve updated and refreshed the look of my website, though I’m sticking with the three-sites-in-one idea. The canopy got delivered today; I still need a few more supplies before I can take a photo of my “booth.” I’ve crocheted some new earrings, but I still have to block, assemble and photograph them. And I need to find another retail outlet or two. But there’s definite progress! (pats self on back)
